CamTally
Count people, cars & objects with your camera. 100% offline AI. Charts, CSV, PDF
CamTally turns your phone camera into an AI people counter and traffic counter. Record a video (or import one), and on-device AI counts what appears in it — people, cars, bicycles, animals and 70+ other object types — without sending a single frame off your phone.

- Record → analyze: AI object detection plus tracking gives a unique count (the same person or car is not counted twice).
- Import existing videos from your gallery and count them.
- Live AI boxes: color-coded boxes and labels on screen in real time. One tap to toggle.
- 80 object classes: people, vehicles, animals, furniture, electronics and more. Pick a category, pick what to count.
- Line-crossing counts: IN / OUT by direction — entries vs. exits, uphill vs. downhill.
- Region of interest: count only in a part of the frame (just the road, just the doorway).
- High-accuracy mode for small or distant objects.
- Real-time counting without recording.
- Rich stats: share-of-total donut, hourly bars, cumulative curve, dwell-time histogram, appearance timeline, position heatmap, AI confidence.
- Export: CSV (Excel / Google Sheets ready), JSON, and a one-page A4 PDF report. Optional auto-save to a folder (pick a synced folder for cloud backup).
- Automation: broadcasts an "analysis complete" event for Tasker and similar apps.
Privacy first
- No video and no results ever leave your device.
- The app has no internet permission at all — it cannot connect to anything.
- No face recognition, no identification of individuals. It only counts.
- No account, no ads, no tracking. Camera is the only permission it needs (plus a notification while analyzing).
On-device AI (MediaPipe object detection) finds objects in each frame; a tracking algorithm follows each one so it is counted once. An hour of video is analyzed on your phone in a few minutes.
Get it on Google PlayFrame the scene so subjects stay visible for 2+ seconds. Select only the object types you need — fewer false positives. Good lighting improves accuracy.
Crowded scenes with heavy overlap can reduce accuracy. Accuracy depends on lighting, distance and angle. CamTally provides reference counts and is not intended for security, safety or medical use.
